Founded in 1978, E.S. Walker Construction began offering sub-contract labor for framing and exterior and interior trim on apartments and condominiums. In 1985 the company added construction of post frame buildings to its services and began getting an increasing number of requests for larger building projects. In response to this demand, E.S. Walker Construction began to offer construction services for pre-engineered steel buildings in 1987.
In 1991, E.S. Walker Construction, along with its sister company Walker Building Systems, incorporated. Walker Building Systems specializes in the sourcing and packaging of building components for metal and post frame buildings for E.S. Walker Construction and other clients. As of the year 2000, the company engages in general contracting, focusing primarily on the sale and construction of pre-engineered steel buildings.
